Experiments

An Experiment is the primary functionality of Next BaseLine.

An experiment will execute a BaseLine against a Verified Endpoint. Each Experiment records details of the dataset that is used for the Experiment, any database configuration details that apply to the Experiment, and details of the Infrastructure used for the database. These are important details that can vary between different Experiments and can be used as a means to make recommendations when a new better and faster setup is possible.

A single experiment execution, or multiple executions averaged create the control which is used for any calculations of performance implications and results data mismatch.

Executions of Experiments provide the results on the Dashboard that are used to identify, categorize and prioritize any deviations from the normal recorded control values.
